Ingredients

  1. 1 cup shortening
  2. 1 cup sugar
  3. 1 cup dark brown sugar
  4. 2 eggs
  5. 1 teaspoon salt
  6. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  7. 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  8. 1 teaspoon vanilla
  9. 1 1/2 cup Shawnee Best all-purpose flour
  10. 3 cups old fashioned oats
  11. 1 cup chopped pecans

These old-fashioned oatmeal cookies are not only quickly prepared and easy to make, they are quickly eaten and easy to love.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F and grease cookies sheets.
  2. Cream shortening and sugars until light. Add eggs and beat thoroughly. Add salt, baking soda, cinnamon and vanilla. Mix in flour, oats and pecans, combine well.
  3. Place rounded tablespoons of dough on cookies sheets.
  4. Bake 12-14 minutes.
