An old-fashioned family favorite. Dip them in white chocolate or add an icing of your choice if desired.
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Cream shortening or bacon grease and sugar until light. Add egg, molasses and dry ingredients in order.
- Shape dough into one-inch balls and roll in sugar until coated. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Do not flatten.
- Bake 10 to 13 minutes until centers crack and edges start to firm. Cool on wire racks
