This quick and tasty recipe can be cooked with a Bundt pan, bread pan, or a simple sheet cake pan. Top with icing to make it sweet and spicy!
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.
- Beat together shortening and salsa in large mixing bowl. Add dry ingredients and beat for three minutes on medium speed. Add eggs and water; beat for another three minutes at medium speed.
- Pour into cake pans and bake 25 to 30 minutes.
- While cake is baking, mix together icing ingredients (powdered sugar, cream cheese, vanilla and butter) in a medium bowl. Beat until creamy.
- Allow cake to cool 10 minutes before removing pans. Let cool completely on rack. Assemble and frost.
